With so many events during the holidays it can be hard to pick the one right for your family. Here are just a few suggestions from The Law Office of David C Stone, APC. Furthermore, in the spirit of the holidays, The Law Office of David C Stone, APC, will be awarding four lucky winners with a four-pack of tickets to an upcoming Anaheim Ducks game in the New Year – details of which shall be worked out with the winner. To enter into this contest, you shall submit a photo of yourself and your child(ren) participating in one of the suggested events below to firstname.lastname@example.org. By submitting your photo you are giving your consent for your photo to possibly appear in a future newsletter.
Being from Riverside County this was by far the easiest selection. Each year I go to the Festival of Lights at the Mission Inn. The Festival of Lights encompasses holiday decorations and lights at the Mission Inn and on various city-owned buildings, holiday themed vendors, family-friendly live entertainment, and even Santa Clause! This event takes place from sunset on Friday, November 25, 2011 through Sunday, January 8, 2012. Even if you aren’t from Riverside I highly recommend this outing – it is simply spectacular! Not only that, but they also have horse drawn carriages and outdoor ice skating. Although not quite Central Park, this outdoor rink is fun none-the-less and something your kids are sure to remember! Oh and if you see me there holding on to my husband’s waist as he drags me around the rink while praying I don’t fall, be sure to say hello! Visit www.riversideca.gov/fol/ for more information!
The Newport Beach Boat Parade is a must see for everyone! This extraordinary event features over 200 boats in a “parade” around Newport Harbor showing off an amazing production that could compete with one from Disney! Homes, yachts, docks and even whole landscapes are transformed into a magical holiday experience. This is a fabulous (and free) event if you choose to view this extravagant affair from one of the public access areas along the harbor. You can also choose to watch this event from one of the many restaurants or by ship (either one in the parade or stationary in the bay). The parade of lights occurs nightly from December 14-18 this year, but there are other options to view the ships pre and post parade with a little research. There are many sites with information on this lovely event, but I suggest www.newportbeachboatparade.com if you want more information.
